About the position

ADP is seeking a Lead Application Developer to join a dynamic and inclusive team environment. This role involves working within a scrum team to design, develop, test, and implement web applications that support both internal and external clients. The Lead Application Developer will leverage their expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and front-end technologies to create impactful solutions, mentor junior developers, and lead projects to success.

Responsibilities

• Work within a scrum team to design and develop web applications.
• Collaborate with clients, product managers, and software engineers to implement solutions.
• Participate in daily scrum calls to prioritize and track work.
• Choose user stories to work on during sprint cycles.
• Develop and test code, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Lead and guide projects, mentoring junior developers.
• Review team work and provide feedback to help team members excel.
• Present work to stakeholders during sprint demos.

Requirements

• 8-12 years of experience in application development.
• Expertise in Java (Java 8 preferred), Spring Boot, and JavaScript.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as Angular and React.
• Familiarity with web services and RESTful APIs.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Apache Kafka and open source tools.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.
