The Lead Application Developer at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is responsible for leading a team of developers in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of applications that are crucial to the organization's success. This role involves mentoring team members, promoting technology standards, and managing complex projects to deliver high-quality products that enhance client experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of developers in application design, development, coding, testing, and debugging.
• Mentor and teach other developers while promoting technology standards and best practices.
• Manage complex projects to ensure high-quality product delivery.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders including project teams, business analysts, and product owners.
• Oversee the Agile development process, managing user stories, backlog, and sprints.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software development with a proven track record of delivering scalable digital products.
• 2+ years of leadership experience in a development team.
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and complex software product delivery.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Blazor, C#, .NET, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with API management systems and REST API design.
• Familiarity with Azure and/or AWS public cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with continuous integration and build automation tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Knowledge of the insurance or finance industry.
