About the position

As a Lead Application Security Developer, you will leverage your technical and leadership skills to enhance security integration within existing and future technologies. This role involves collaborating with application teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities in application code, as well as integrating new security tools into the infrastructure to promote secure coding practices and improve platform quality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support security integration work with existing and future technology.
  • Collaborate with application teams to research and provide alternatives to fix vulnerabilities identified in application code.
  • Identify and integrate new tools in security infrastructure, pipelines, and processes to advance secure application coding practices.
  • Increase the overall quality of platforms through improved security measures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study and minimum six years of related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs and applications.
  • In lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED or higher, the completion of a technical training program, and a minimum of six years related work experience.
  • In lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED or higher and a minimum of eight years related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs and applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven development experience with Go/Golang, .NET/C#, Angular, Java, or Python.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with Azure Pipelines and GitHub Actions and working in an Agile environment.
  • Working experience with security testing principles (SAST, DAST, SCA, CWP, etc.).
  • Familiarity with open-source development tools and methodologies and a thorough understanding of the common categories of security vulnerabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with others at all levels.
