About the position

The position involves developing cost-effective information technology solutions by creating and modifying software applications. The role requires coordination with users to determine requirements, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and implementing complex software applications. The individual will also function as a technical lead, providing training and direction to team members while being involved in 24/7 production support.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, codes, tests and documents routine enhancements made to new and/or existing programs.
• Participates in 24x7 production support on-call rotation.
• Demonstrates proven knowledge in one or more applications or systems.
• Designs, codes, tests and implements application programs in accordance with client specifications.
• Interprets business requirements and identifies solutions to meet business objectives.
• Oversees the advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution functions for software products.
• Coordinates project resources for application projects with minor complexity.
• Acts as a technical lead on projects.
• Reviews and recommends vendor products, develops technical specifications and interfaces with other applications.
• Acts as a liaison to define business requirements and/or problems and initiates maintenance of existing programs or designs of a new application.

Requirements

• Proven experience in software development and application programming.
• Strong knowledge of coding, testing, and debugging software applications.
• Ability to interpret business requirements and provide effective solutions.
• Experience in overseeing troubleshooting and problem resolution for software products.
• Experience in coordinating project resources and managing minor complexity projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with vendor product evaluation and technical specification development.
• Familiarity with 24/7 production support environments.
