About the position

The position involves developing cost-effective information technology solutions by creating and modifying software applications. The role requires coordination with users, business analysts, and other developers to determine requirements and implement effective solutions. The individual will also serve as a technical lead, providing training and direction to team members while ensuring the successful execution of projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, codes, tests, and documents complex enhancements made to new and/or existing programs.
• Participates in production support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Demonstrates proven knowledge in one or more applications or systems.
• Designs, codes, tests, and implements application programs in accordance with requirements and standards.
• Produces accurate, readable documentation related to software systems.
• Identifies efficient and practical solutions to meet business objectives.
• May serve as technical lead on larger projects and act as project lead on smaller projects/development efforts.
• Reviews and recommends vendor products, develops technical specifications, and interfaces with other applications.
• Performs code reviews and mentors other developers.
• Ability to wear multiple hats not necessarily all related to writing code.

Requirements

• Proven experience in software development and application programming.
• Strong coding, testing, and debugging skills.
• Ability to produce clear and concise documentation.
• Experience in troubleshooting and issue resolution in production environments.
• Knowledge of application design and implementation standards.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with project management and coordination.
• Familiarity with vendor product evaluation and technical specifications.
• Mentoring experience with junior developers.
