About the position

The Lead Application Developer is a key technical expert in the contact center domain, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing technology solutions that enhance telephony and associated contact center technologies. This role involves significant collaboration across various teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects that have broad implications for the business and IT architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in architecture, design, implementation, and QA phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Design, code, test and implement applications in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with corporate procedures and standards.
  • Analyze requested changes and perform maintenance to existing voice-based applications.
  • Play a key role as an individual contributor on projects, working as part of a project team to determine project requirements, goals, and implementation.
  • Develop an understanding of 5/3 Bank's business lines and systems, collaborating with other development teams to build new or enhanced voice-based banking applications.
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert for the internal team on system functionality and approaches, including solving systems operations issues and performance initiatives.
  • Provide training and knowledge sharing with fellow team members and other development groups.
  • Create Technical Specifications for onshore and/or offshore consultants for development, supervising projects throughout the project life cycle and performing code reviews.
  • Manage time and priorities to ensure commitments are met and maintain communication with project managers.
  • Participate in production tier two support rotation pool.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in application development, particularly in contact center technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of telephony systems, Genesys Call Routing, GVP/IVR, and reporting tools.
  • Experience in the full project lifecycle including architecture, design, implementation, and QA.
  • Ability to analyze and maintain existing voice-based applications.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with various teams and provide training.
  • Experience in creating technical specifications and supervising development projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with banking systems and business lines.
  • Experience working with onshore and offshore development teams.
