About the position

Skipwith Academy is seeking a Lead/Assistant School Age Teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and eager to make a positive impact in the lives of students. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with company policies, and foster a safe and engaging learning environment for children.

Responsibilities

• Write and follow lesson plans
• Uphold policies, standards, and regulations to ensure consistent operations of the company
• Ensure that staff are following company policies and procedures
• Provide guidance and support to staff members
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment
• Create, design and implement lesson plans
• Manage students as they learn, play, eat, and sleep
• Keep the classroom organized and clean
• Observe children's interests and collaborate with team members to develop engaging curriculum
• Communicate with parents daily about children's adventures and achievements

Requirements

• At least 6 months experience in a licensed facility
• CPR certified
• Ability to uphold all Virginia Standards of licensing
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
