About the position

The Lead Associate-Quality position within the Quality Control department is crucial for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the production line. This role involves auditing production line associates and processes to ensure that the day's work is completed safely, with a focus on quality and efficiency. The Lead Associate will be responsible for identifying and reporting any issues or discrepancies to the Supervisor, ensuring that all production output meets the established quality standards. This position requires a proactive approach to quality assurance, acting as a liaison between the Quality and Production teams to facilitate communication and resolve any quality-related concerns. In this role, the Lead Associate will conduct regular quality audits on the production line, providing essential feedback and information to associates to help them complete their daily tasks effectively. Coordination with the supervisor is key to addressing any quality issues that arise, and the Lead Associate will monitor compliance with all safety and quality guidelines. This position is vital for fostering a culture of quality and safety within the production environment, ensuring that all associates adhere to the required standards and practices. The Lead Associate-Quality will work in a plant environment, which may expose them to various conditions such as dust, odors, noise, and smoke. Therefore, adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory. The role requires a stable work history, strong communication skills, and the ability to learn and utilize various computer software programs to support quality control processes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality audits on the line to support production quality.
  • Ensure all production output meets quality standards.
  • Act as a liaison between Quality and Production.
  • Provide associates with quality information to complete their daily work.
  • Coordinate with supervisor to ensure all quality issues are addressed.
  • Monitor that all safety and quality guidelines are followed.

Requirements

  • Stable work history with excellent attendance record.
  • Knowledge of automotive production processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and use a variety of computer software programs.
  • Follows all safety requirements of the company, including PPE and safe job behaviors.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs periodically.

Benefits

  • Starting pay of $19.35, with potential increases up to $1.10 within 6 months and .60 cents every 6 months thereafter until top-out is reached.
