About the position

Cognizant Technology Solutions is seeking a Lead Automation Testing professional with expertise in ServiceNow to join our dynamic team of IT professionals in a permanent role. This position is part of Cognizant's Quality Engineering and Assurance (QEA) Practice, which is recognized as the largest Quality Assurance Practice globally, servicing over 800 clients. Our practice is dedicated to providing industry-leading vision and expertise to assist clients in their Quality Engineering transformation journeys. In this role, you will be responsible for leading automation testing initiatives using ServiceNow's built-in Automated Test Framework (ATF). You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the quality and reliability of ServiceNow applications. Your expertise in building automated tests, particularly leveraging open-source testing tools such as Selenium and Playwright, will be crucial in enhancing our testing processes. You will document and report on testing outcomes, participate in Agile release planning, and lead user acceptance testing to ensure that all testing conclusions and recommendations are well-supported by test results. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of ServiceNow workflows, particularly in incident management and catalog items.

Responsibilities

  • Build automated tests using ServiceNow's built-in Automated Test Framework (ATF).
  • Develop automated tests for ServiceNow leveraging open-source testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright).
  • Document and report ServiceNow testing, verification, and validation status and results, including details of errors and recommended remediation.
  • Participate in Agile release planning for new ServiceNow features and platform functionality, defect fixes, and platform optimization.
  • Lead early access testing and user acceptance testing with ServiceNow platform and application stakeholders.
  • Ensure testing conclusions, recommendations, and signoff are supported by test results, documenting any necessary exceptions or deviations from requirements.
  • Utilize ServiceNow for Compliance Management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of QA experience with agile practices.
  • Experience building automated tests using ServiceNow's built-in Automated Test Framework (ATF).
  • Knowledge of incident workflows and experience with catalog items.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with additional testing frameworks or tools beyond Selenium and Playwright.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
