About the position

The Lead Installation Technician at Freshwater Digital is responsible for overseeing and leading installation efforts for digital signage projects across various client sites. This role involves managing a team of technicians, ensuring productivity, quality of work, and adherence to safety standards while conducting installations. The technician will also handle warehouse activities, client training, and maintain excellent customer relations.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and conducting all local on-site client digital signage installations
  • Managing on-site and remote installations with third-party partners
  • Working with business and project teams to scope out installation efforts and navigate challenges
  • Maintaining compliance with company policies and ensuring documentation is completed
  • Establishing expectations and motivating crews to meet or exceed goals
  • Obtaining, organizing, and managing materials effectively
  • Managing Freshwater's warehouse activities including staging equipment and inventory management
  • Demonstrating excellent customer relations through effective problem-solving techniques
  • Forecasting job costs accurately including labor and materials
  • Wiring CAT6 data jacks and installing various digital signage equipment
  • Completing and testing installations in preparation for onsite commissioning
  • Providing client training and attending manufacturer's training as needed
  • Completing site visits and providing details to project management and business development teams
  • Providing hardware recommendations and basic troubleshooting of equipment

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid MI Driver's License
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to travel to and from job sites
  • Experience in the audio-visual space preferred but not required
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
  • Comfortable with heights under 40' and climbing ladders
  • Energetic self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Proactive learning and advancement of skills
