About the position

The Lead Bank Legal Entity Governance - Sr. Associate role is integral to the Bank Governance function, which is responsible for the critical review of internal and regulatory governance materials in accordance with the OCC's Heightened Standards. This position involves preparing and reviewing key documents such as the annual Strategic Plan and Resolution & Recovery Plans, while also providing support for first-line oversight of bank activities. The role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with various lines of business and internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance and effective governance within JPMCB and other legal entities.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the Bank's Recovery & Resolution Plans, including detailed review and challenge of the Plans
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly analytical reviews and address ad-hoc requests for Resolution and Recovery Plan documents from regulators
  • Administer the Bank Management Group, including the consolidation of the monthly Executive Management Report and preparation for senior meetings
  • Coordinate updates to the Firm's Strategic Plan narrative and Process planning document
  • Collaborate with Central and LOB Project Management Oversight (PMO) teams to develop various internal and regulatory documents
  • Prepare materials for senior management review and presentation
  • Identify operating efficiencies and automation solutions that benefit team productivity

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field
  • 4 years finance/accounting or related experience
  • Fundamental understanding of Banking regulation and internal policies with a control mindset
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, self-initiative and attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build strong cross-business and cross-functional relationships
  • Experience managing multiple, concurrent workstreams with a sense of urgency
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and intellectually curious
  • Proficiency in identifying process improvements and implementing automation solutions

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in regulatory document preparation and governance
  • Broad knowledge of Banking regulatory reporting
  • Some experience managing senior stakeholders and cross location counterparts
