About The Position

The Lead Behavioral Health Technician at Mission Hospital is responsible for providing care to patients with psychiatric disorders under the direction of a licensed nurse. This role involves observing and intervening to ensure patient safety, responding to maladaptive behaviors, and contributing to the formulation of therapeutic treatment plans.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• BLS certification
• Two years clinical experience as a health care provider on a psychiatric unit.

Nice To Haves

• Associate Degree or higher in a human services field, e.g. psychology
• National Certification for BHT/Mental Health Worker Role
• CNA licensure in the state of North Carolina
• Substance Abuse Certification
