About the position

The Lead Benefits Coordinator is responsible for managing benefit systems and processes that support the University community's benefit offerings. This role serves as a subject matter expert, facilitating the processing, updating, and resolution of benefits for faculty, staff, and students. The coordinator acts as a liaison between the HR benefits department and various stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and problem resolution regarding benefits policies and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the processing and updating of benefits for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Serve as a liaison between the HR benefits department and various stakeholders.
  • Provide information and resolve problems related to benefits systems and policies.
  • Interpret policies and procedures to proactively resolve issues or improve processes.
  • Gather and analyze data to identify trends and propose actions based on findings.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Four or more years of experience with employee benefits or relevant experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle frequent interruptions and balance multiple tasks
  • Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels
  • Ability to identify problems and implement solutions

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate's degree in data analytics, business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field
  • Two or more years of experience providing data analysis for programs or projects
  • Familiarity with benefits systems, data analytics, and medical terminology
