About the position
The Lead Business Systems Analyst for Cerner PathNet is responsible for applying analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of technology systems that meet business requirements. This role involves leading multiple mid to large size implementations and initiatives, modifying systems, and ensuring that business ideas are effectively translated into technical requirements. The analyst will work closely with operations to optimize workflows and processes, manage change, and build partnerships with key stakeholders to deliver business solutions.
Responsibilities
- Apply analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of technology systems.
- Lead multiple mid-large size implementations and initiatives.
- Modify systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing support application systems.
- Formulate measurable and actionable approaches to accelerate implementation through optimized operational workflows.
- Partner with operations to translate business ideas into clear and measurable requirements.
- Identify, research, and evaluate enterprise applications and technologies to promote strategic initiatives.
- Translate business needs to technical requirements and optimize existing implementations.
- Manage and lead others through change and support the implementation of business solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Sciences, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Expertise in Cerner Millennium PathNet.
- Proficient in configuring and supporting Cerner PathNet General Lab applications.
- Knowledge of lab instrument integration and laboratory workflows.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in medium-sized, fast-paced corporate organizations.
- Proven project leadership skills for medium to large scale projects.
- Basic skills in vendor management and risk mitigation.
- Knowledge in Structured Query Language (SQL).

- Proficiency in one or more departments of Cerner PathNet applications.
- Self-motivated with the ability to learn new concepts and job requirements.
- Budget forecasting capabilities.
