About the position

We are seeking a Lead Business Analyst (Data Governance, Master Data) to join our Data Strategy Team within Enterprise Architecture. This role focuses on Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Governance within the enterprise data ecosystem, playing a pivotal part in shaping our data strategy and ensuring robust data governance across the organization. The successful candidate will collaborate with business and IT leaders to develop and refine the enterprise data strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technological advancements. This position is integral to the team, which consists of Enterprise Architects, Business Process Consultants, and Solution Analysts aligned to business and technology functions across the Enterprise within the technology services organization. In this role, you will design and oversee a comprehensive MDM strategy to ensure the consistency, accuracy, and scalability of core business data across multiple systems and stakeholders. You will serve as a bridge between IT teams and business units to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation, fostering strong communication and collaboration. Additionally, you will regularly assess emerging technologies to enhance our data capabilities and establish and maintain data governance policies and frameworks to protect and maximize the value of the organization's data assets. Your contribution to our team is integral as we collaborate to deliver innovative solutions tailored to meet our ever-evolving business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business and IT leaders to develop and refine the enterprise data strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technological advancements.
  • Design and oversee a comprehensive Master Data Management (MDM) strategy to ensure the consistency, accuracy, and scalability of core business data across multiple systems and stakeholders.
  • Serve as a bridge between IT teams and business units to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation, fostering strong communication and collaboration.
  • Regularly assess emerging technologies to enhance our data capabilities.
  • Establish and maintain data governance policies and frameworks to protect and maximize the value of the organization's data assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to translate long-term business goals into actionable data strategies.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale data initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of modern data technologies and architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, big data platforms, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, Snowflake).
  • Experience developing project plans for leveraging data within a complex architecture.
  • Background in business operations or technical project management.
