About the position

The Lead Business Analyst at Molina Healthcare is responsible for analyzing complex business problems and issues using data from various sources to provide insights for decision-making. This role involves identifying trends and patterns in datasets, constructing forecasts, and creating strategic plans based on business data and market knowledge. The analyst collaborates with clients to tailor reports and analysis to meet specific needs and may participate in management reviews to present findings and recommendations. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of business data and may focus on internal operations or external clients.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources.
  • Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to provide insights.
  • Construct forecasts, recommendations, and strategic plans based on business data.
  • Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs.
  • Collaborate with clients to modify existing analysis or reports.
  • Participate in management reviews, presenting and interpreting analysis results.
  • Document changes to existing business processes and identify new opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop methodologies and prepare weekly reports.
  • Encourage cooperative interactions between cross-functional teams.
  • Coordinate work of other business data analysts and provide training to team members.
  • Lead all stages of project development including research, design, programming, testing, and implementation.
  • Guide communication and collaboration with external and internal customers.
  • Write and analyze database queries, including SQL.
  • Utilize APIs and web services effectively.
  • Familiar with IT release cycles and production deployment processes.
  • Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and quality assurance (QA) processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years of business analysis or systems experience.
  • 6+ years of managed care experience.
  • Experience in US Healthcare government programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, or the Affordable Care Act.

Nice-to-haves

  • Graduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7-9 years of project management experience.
  • Experience working with complex, highly technical teams.
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner focusing on digital channels.
  • Familiarity with Core Payor systems such as QNXT, Facets, Metavance.
  • Strong understanding of US Healthcare domain and operational processes.
