About the position
The Lead Business Analyst will focus on the design and development of complex SSIS solutions, automated operational reports, and dashboards using Power BI and SQL Server Reporting Services. This role requires a strong background in SQL BI Stack tools and aims to leverage emerging technologies to enhance data analytics capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop moderate to complex SSIS solutions.
- Develop automated operational reports and dashboards using Power BI and SQL Server Reporting Services.
- Architect and develop solutions for data transformations using Microsoft SSIS/SQL ETL tools.
- Design, implement, and maintain SQL database objects and security.
- Debug and tune existing SSIS/ETL processes for efficient data movement.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to document business requirements for ETL and report design.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Research issues and set up proof of concept tests.
- Support quality acceptance testing and develop test plans.
- Lead design review sessions with the scrum team to validate requirements.
- Troubleshoot data quality issues and determine root causes.
- Coach and mentor junior resources within the team.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL BI Stack including SSIS, SSRS, TSQL, Power Query, MDX, PowerBI, and DAX.
- 5+ years of software development experience with 3+ years of SQL programming utilizing SSIS/SSRS and Power BI.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server, SSIS, and T-SQL, preferably on Azure and/or SQL 2016+.
- Experience working with Azure SQL Database, DevOps, GIT, and Continual Integration (CI).
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of C#.
- Familiarity with healthcare data and concepts, including QNXT.
