About the position

The Lead Business Data Architect at Broadridge is responsible for developing and maintaining complex data models to support business data analysis and reporting. This role involves close collaboration with data analysts and business stakeholders to translate data requirements into logical and physical data models, ensuring the delivery of business data products that align with finance priorities. The architect will also lead the data operations team for the finance data platform, focusing on data accuracy, completeness, and consistency, while maintaining documentation and metadata of data models. This hybrid position allows for both in-office and remote work, fostering a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Create complex data models and support data architecture.
  • Understand business products and develop data solutions for reporting and analytics.
  • Align efforts to meet customer and business needs across Finance.
  • Drive strategy on data platform and data products.
  • Facilitate project meetings and presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Document and communicate data model designs and standards.
  • Translate requirements of large data initiatives into technical designs.
  • Support implementation of data solutions by building relationships with stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve performance issues to optimize database performance.
  • Monitor and support the data platform and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Adapt to competing demands and organizational changes.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of data architecture and implementation.
  • Proficient in SQL and data modeling concepts.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Experience with data warehousing and ETL processing using Snowflake, AWS S3, or AWS Glue.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization of database queries.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices for data modeling and database design.
  • Experience working on medium scale projects and handling operational requests from the business.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience.
