About the position

The Lead Business Execution Consultant will support the Business Consulting function within the Operational Excellence team at Wells Fargo. This role focuses on simplifying and optimizing operations, enhancing risk management, and driving key initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the organization. The consultant will provide program leadership for complex initiatives, consult with leadership on program needs, and develop frameworks for sustainable program execution.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program leadership/support for large complex initiatives to ensure success and sustainability.
  • Consult with leadership to assess program needs, discuss gaps, and advise on the sequencing and organization of work to achieve program goals.
  • Build sustainable program frameworks including project plans, roles and responsibilities, programs forums and councils, data management, reporting routines, stakeholder management plans, and communication plans.
  • Identify potential risks when implementing change, develop mitigation strategies and plans.
  • Develop strategic concepts through the entire concept lifecycle, providing program leadership through implementation when necessary.
  • Develop Operational Excellence related materials for executive audiences such as the Operating Committee, Board of Directors, and other Wells Fargo leadership.
  • Provide strategic execution consulting services to Operational Excellence leadership.
  • Identify and analyze transformation opportunities within Operations.
  • Support Operational Excellence with ongoing business routines.
  • Act as the thought partner/leader to Operational Excellence leadership.
  • Lead both planned and ad hoc strategic analyses.
  • Lead ad-hoc key initiatives for Operational Excellence from ideation to implementation.
  • Lead through influence, often without direct authority, persuading through use of data and facts.
  • Adjust and adapt to the rolling, day-to-day changes that transpire in the running of programs/initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

  • Facilitation skills, including ability to facilitate decision-making and broker agreements amongst diverse, differing, and/or conflicting perspectives/priorities.
  • Management consulting experience with a top tier firm.
  • Ability to strategically review situations and diagnose opportunities and interventions.
  • Ability to execute in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while balancing multiple priorities.
