The Lead BI Analyst is responsible for leading the data analytics team to provide insights and reporting driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role involves overseeing the analysis, interpretation, and visualization of data to support strategic goals, optimize business processes, and enhance customer experiences. The Lead BI Analyst ensures that the organization leverages data as a key asset to gain competitive advantages and achieve its objectives. You will develop and implement the data analytics strategy aligned with the organization's goals, lead, mentor, and manage the data analytics team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning. Collaborating with senior leadership, you will identify business opportunities where data analytics can add value, and work with the Data Engineering team to prioritize data collection, cleaning, and organization. You will also ensure data quality, integrity, and security in compliance with relevant regulations and policies, while developing and maintaining advanced analytics models, dashboards, and reports to provide actionable insights. Your role will include monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing regular updates to stakeholders, maintaining dashboards and reports in PowerBI and Tableau, and acting as the primary contact with business stakeholders to understand their data and reporting needs. You will translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders, advocating for the use of data-driven approaches across the organization. In this fast-paced environment, you will identify value to add to the company and take initiative to provide solutions, while staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics. Finally, you will identify and implement new tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve data analysis capabilities, driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of data analytics processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the data analytics strategy aligned with the organization's goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the data analytics team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify business opportunities where data analytics can add value.
  • Work with the Data Engineering team to prioritize data collection, cleaning, and organization.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security in compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
  • Develop and maintain advanced analytics models, dashboards, and reports to provide actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in data analytics or related roles, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership position.
  • Experience in the Debt or Finance industries is a strong plus but not strictly required.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data management, and data warehousing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
  • Proven track record of leading successful data-driven projects and initiatives.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve complex business problems using data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the Debt or Finance industries is a strong plus but not strictly required.
