About the position

The Lead Business Operations Analyst at PPL Services Corporation is responsible for generating and implementing analytical solutions to complex business processes and technical challenges. This role focuses on enhancing operational effectiveness and excellence by preparing and delivering insightful business analyses to management, leading teams, and improving understanding of business processes and systems. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong passion for optimizing decision-making through data utilization.

Responsibilities

  • Extract and deliver useful statistics and insights from business data to support operational improvements and business strategies.
  • Proactively identify and implement solutions and strategies to help the business achieve its objectives.
  • Prepare complex financial models and forecasts using advanced modeling techniques.
  • Develop high-level analyses and recommend actions based on data, presenting findings to Senior Management.
  • Research methods for measuring business performance and compare against trends and best practices.
  • Review, analyze, and document business processes and supporting systems in detail.
  • Lead special projects or teams as assigned.
  • Engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among direct reports and co-workers in the office.
  • Fulfill assigned PPL emergency storm role and other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Seven years of analytical/problem-solving experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or four years with a Master's Degree.
  • Experience with tools and programming languages such as Python, SQL, and PowerBI.
  • In-depth knowledge in statistical analysis, data visualization, and data manipulation.
  • Strong competencies in process improvement, change management, and project management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) or other advanced statistical applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Business or a quantitative discipline.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Ability to tell a story from analysis to identify and solve business opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
