About the position

The Lead Business Operations Analyst at PPL Services Corporation is responsible for analyzing complex business processes and technical problems to enhance operational effectiveness. This role involves generating and implementing analytical solutions, preparing business insights for management, and leading teams to improve understanding of business systems. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Extract and deliver useful statistics and insight from business data to support operational improvements and business strategies.
  • Proactively identify and implement solutions and/or strategies to help the business achieve its objectives.
  • Prepare complex financial models and forecasting using advanced modeling techniques.
  • Develop high-level analyses, recommend actions based on data, and present findings to Senior Management.
  • Research methods for measuring business performance and compare against trends and best practices.
  • Review, analyze, and document business processes and supporting systems.
  • Lead special projects or teams.
  • Engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among direct reports and co-workers in the office.
  • Fulfill assigned PPL emergency storm role.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Seven years of analytical/problem solving experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or four years with a Master's Degree.
  • Experience with tools and programming languages such as Python, SQL, and PowerBI.
  • In-depth knowledge in statistical analysis, data visualization, and data manipulation.
  • Strong competencies in process improvement, change management, and project management.
  • Strong analysis, research, and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) or other advanced statistical applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Business or a quantitative discipline.
  • Innate curiosity and strong desire to solve problems.
  • Ability to tell a story from analysis to identify/solve business opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • LeanSixSigma Black Belt certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience with Infor FSM.
