About the position

The Lead Business Systems Analyst will play a pivotal role in managing relationships with corporate partners to ensure their technical needs are met through existing or new solutions. This position requires a dynamic individual who is a self-starter with excellent planning and organizational skills, capable of exercising independent judgment while participating in various complex projects from inception through completion. The successful candidate will act as an advisor, offering strategies to support automation, efficiency, and risk mitigation. In this role, the Lead Business Systems Analyst will collaborate closely with the Corporate Architect to determine the best solutions for any new requirements and will be responsible for the business and technical design, development, deployment, and support of internal business systems. The individual will need to understand the corporate partners' needs, prioritize, assign, and manage ongoing operations or new project work effectively. This position will also involve driving the strategy, roadmap, and governance for corporate systems as the organization expands and matures its cloud and SaaS technologies. Key responsibilities include managing relationships with corporate partners, providing excellent customer service, obtaining and synthesizing requirements for enhancements or new solutions, and ensuring that governance controls are in place and operational. The Lead Business Systems Analyst will also contribute to the success of cloud migrations of existing applications to Microsoft Azure Cloud in an automated and efficient manner, while collaborating with a diverse workforce within a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the relationships with Corporate Partners and provide excellent customer service ensuring support of current systems is in place and be able to obtain and synthesize requirements for enhancements or new solutions.
  • Act as an advisor to Corporate Partners, gaining a strong understanding of their challenges and needs and offering recommendations for technology solutions as required.
  • Manage capacity, prioritization, and assignment for implementation teams to include new projects and day-to-day operations supporting existing corporate systems.
  • Own and drive communication with Corporate Partners to include updates, maintenance, and issue management related to corporate systems.
  • Collaborate with a diverse workforce within a matrixed environment.
  • Contribute to the success of cloud migrations of existing applications to Microsoft Azure Cloud in an automated, efficient fashion.
  • Ensure governance controls are in place and operational.
  • Contribute to the Corporate Systems strategy and product roadmap to include cloud-based systems that support key business functions such as Legal, HR, and Finance.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
  • Experience setting up and/or managing corporate systems.
  • Proven ability to manage capacity and agile teams.
  • Self-starter with excellent planning and organizational skills and the ability to exercise independent judgment while participating in various complex and sometimes concurrent projects from inception through completion.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, specifically the ability to communicate and interact effectively with all staffing levels.
  • Ability to adapt communication and presentation style for audiences ranging from non-technical to highly technical and at all levels within the organization.
  • Experience working with or developing Microsoft SharePoint, Office 365 technologies, and Microsoft Azure Cloud technologies.
  • Experience with business requirements gathering and synthesizing.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment that presents a high degree of subjectivity and change.
  • Ability to influence across reporting lines.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scrum Master Certification preferred.
  • Experience managing data flow between systems.
  • Experience managing SaaS implementations and integrations.
  • Experience with Corporate Systems operational support and technical troubleshooting.
  • Experience negotiating with a vendor on services and support agreements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scrum Master Certification preferred.
