About the position

The Lead Career Coach - Youth at Eckerd Connects is responsible for guiding and supporting program Career Coaches in achieving their goals while also engaging with the community to recruit and develop participants. This role involves delivering skills training, maintaining case records, and fostering relationships with employers to enhance program success. The position emphasizes a commitment to making a difference in the lives of youth through effective career coaching and workforce development services.

Responsibilities

• Assist program Career Coaches in reaching goals established in Contract or Statement of Work.
• Conduct outreach and recruitment activities in the community related to participant development.
• Assess and determine eligibility of participants per project plan.
• Maintain detailed case records of service needs and activities according to established data-management procedures.
• Deliver skills training in software applications, work readiness skills, and basic remedial skills in math and reading.
• Develop presentation and facilitation skills to engage students in meeting program goals.
• Deliver program curriculum and objectives in classroom and simulated workplace environments.
• Connect with employers and community organizations to market the program and support participant success.
• Identify and recruit target populations of clients and employers.
• Manage data and paperwork effectively.

Requirements

• Related Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University preferred.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience, particularly with the targeted population.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications or online database tracking systems.
• Ability to manage a large participant caseload in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills to motivate and influence positive behaviors in students.
• Valid state driver's license and ability to meet requirements for Eckerd's Auto Insurance.
