About the position

The Lead Career Coach plays a pivotal role in guiding and supporting participants in their career development journey. This position involves working closely with program Career Coaches to ensure that established goals in the Contract or Statement of Work are met. The Lead Career Coach will engage in outreach and recruitment activities within the community, focusing on participant development and eligibility assessments as outlined in the project plan. Maintaining detailed case records is essential, as it ensures that service needs and activities are documented according to the data-management procedures set by program management and funding sources. In addition to administrative responsibilities, the Lead Career Coach will deliver skills training in various areas, including software applications, work readiness skills, and basic remedial skills in math and reading. Developing presentation and facilitation skills is crucial for engaging students and helping them meet program goals. The role also includes delivering program curriculum and objectives in both classroom and simulated workplace environments. Job development is another key aspect of this position, requiring the Lead Career Coach to connect with employers and community organizations regularly. This connection is vital for marketing the program and enhancing the success of participants. Identifying and recruiting the target population of clients and employers is also part of the responsibilities, along with managing data and paperwork efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Assist program Career Coaches in reaching goals established in Contract or Statement of Work.
  • Conduct outreach and recruitment activities in the community related to participant development.
  • Assess eligibility of participants per project plan.
  • Maintain case records detailing service needs and activities according to data-management procedures.
  • Deliver skills training in software applications, work readiness skills, and basic remedial skills in math and reading.
  • Develop presentation and facilitation skills to engage students in meeting program goals.
  • Deliver program curriculum/objectives in classroom and simulated workplace environments.
  • Engage in job development by connecting with employers and community organizations to market the program.
  • Identify and recruit target population of clients and employers.
  • Manage data and paperwork efficiently.

Requirements

  • Related Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University preferred.
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience, particularly with the targeted population.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications or online database tracking systems.
  • Ability to efficiently manage a large participant caseload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain a leadership role with students to motivate and influence positive behaviors.
  • Valid state driver's license and ability to meet requirements for Eckerd's Auto Insurance.
