About the position
The Lead Case Manager at New Life Foster Family Agency is responsible for overseeing a team of social workers, coordinating case management services, and ensuring the effective implementation of social treatment plans. This role requires a bilingual professional fluent in Spanish and English, who will lead complex casework in areas such as foster care and protective services, while also contributing to community resource development and staff training.
Responsibilities
- Plan, assign, and direct the work of a unit of professionally trained social workers performing difficult or complex casework.
- Assist in the development of community resources for all programs and participate in staff development programs.
- Make or review decisions on difficult casework matters under direct supervision.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of policies and procedures.
- Represent the agency at conferences and address concerns raised by groups.
- Evaluate the performance of subordinates and recommend appropriate actions.
- Conduct field visits and attend meetings and trainings away from the home office.
- Data entry of complex narratives into a client complaint database.
- Maintain quick response time to heavy email volume.
Requirements
- Possession of an advanced degree in applied behavioral science, preferably social work.
- A combination of three years of case planning, case management, and fieldwork as a social worker or closely related job title.
- A combination of two years of experience with supervision, policy, compliance, or in a lead capacity providing case management and/or social services.
- Possession of a valid State driver's license.
- Attainment of at least 21 years of age.
