About the position

The Lead Cashier at Ulta Beauty is responsible for ensuring efficient guest transactions and maintaining high standards at the cashwrap area. This role involves training new cashiers, driving loyalty results, and enhancing the guest experience through exceptional service and operational excellence. The Lead Cashier plays a crucial role in achieving store goals related to sales, guest loyalty, and compliance with operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store's goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty, and retail shrink.
• Ensure that each guest receives exceptional service by providing a guest-friendly environment, greeting and engaging each guest, and personalizing service to their needs.
• Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges.
• Pair guests with associates for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to enhance the guest service experience.
• Book appointments for services and in-store events to deliver an exceptional guest experience while achieving sales goals.
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of all cashwrap displays and supplies to ensure guest-readiness.
• Support the leadership team with cashier chat ins and outs and associate exit inspections.
• Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
• Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training other associates in cashiering.
• Engage and influence peers to achieve peak productivity and performance.
• Drive accountability in delivering an exceptional Ulta Beauty brand experience and following company systems.
• Participate in ongoing training for continuous professional development and sales performance.
• Collaborate with managers and associates to help grow the business.

Requirements

• Experience in cashiering and retail operations.
