About the position

The Lead Cashier at Ulta Beauty is responsible for ensuring efficient guest transactions and maintaining high standards at the cashwrap area. This role involves training new cashiers, driving loyalty results, and enhancing the guest experience through exceptional service and product recommendations. The Lead Cashier plays a crucial role in achieving store sales goals and supporting the leadership team in operational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficiency of guest transactions and maintain cashwrap standards.
• Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training associates.
• Drive loyalty results through a focus on sales and guest experience.
• Provide exceptional service by engaging guests and personalizing their experience.
• Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
• Support the execution of in-store events and services to enhance guest experience.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of cashwrap displays and supplies.
• Complete cashier chat ins and outs, and associate exit inspections as needed.
• Stay informed about industry trends and product knowledge to better serve guests.
• Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve.
• Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and sales competency.
• Experience in addressing guest concerns and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires.
• Proficient with basic technology, including Point of Sale systems.
