About the position

As a Lead CDRL Manager/Sr. Technical Editor at CACI, you will play a crucial role in the technical editing and documentation delivery process, which constitutes 90% of your responsibilities. Your primary focus will be on editing both technical and non-technical documents to ensure they meet the required standards of completeness, accuracy, and grammatical correctness. You will be responsible for submitting Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables to the Government in accordance with established contract schedules, ensuring that all documentation is formatted correctly and uploaded to the Government's SharePoint repository. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of the technical requirements associated with government contracts. In addition to your editing responsibilities, you will also support meetings, which will account for 5% of your time. This includes editing briefings, recording meeting minutes, and documenting action items to ensure that all relevant information is captured and communicated effectively. The remaining 5% of your role will involve managerial duties, where you will oversee the CDRL team, ensuring that it operates cohesively and functions at a high level of efficiency. Your leadership will be essential in guiding a junior technical editor, ensuring their work aligns with the program's standards and expectations. To succeed in this position, you will need to manage the Information Management tasks outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS), ensuring that the program adheres to all requirements for document submissions and data archiving related to the CDRL. Your ability to communicate clearly and concisely will be vital in this role, as will your advanced skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and MS Teams. An active Secret clearance is also a requirement for this position, reflecting the sensitive nature of the work you will be involved in.

Responsibilities

  • Edit technical and non-technical documents for completeness, accuracy, and grammatical correctness.
  • Submit CDRL deliverables to the Government according to contract schedules.
  • Edit briefings and record meeting minutes and action items.
  • Manage the CDRL team to ensure a cohesive and highly functional group.
  • Upload CDRLs and other files to the Government's SharePoint repository.
  • Lead a junior technical editor and ensure their work meets program standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5 years of related experience in technical editing and documentation.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Advanced skills with MS Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and MS Teams.
  • Active Secret clearance.

  • Experience in editing Government contract deliverables.
