As we embark on a new offshore brownfield asset retirement project based out of Covington, LA, we are seeking a talented and experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team. The Lead Civil/Structural Engineer will play a lead role in managing civil/structural engineering efforts for this offshore brownfield asset retirement project. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, process, and electrical engineers, along with environmental and regulatory specialists, developing and implementing civil/structural engineering solutions to safely decommission offshore facilities while minimizing environmental impact and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. In addition to the production of engineering deliverables such as construction work packs, engineering studies, regulatory and environmental reviews, and asset management plans, a key success factor for the selected candidate will be the ability to efficiently manage the flow of work to remote (workshare) offices. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met. The Lead Civil/Structural Engineer will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and providing guidance on best practices in civil and structural engineering within the context of offshore projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage civil/structural engineering efforts for offshore brownfield asset retirement projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, process, and electrical engineers.
  • Develop and implement civil/structural engineering solutions for decommissioning offshore facilities.
  • Produce engineering deliverables such as construction work packs and engineering studies.
  • Conduct regulatory and environmental reviews to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Manage the flow of work to remote (workshare) offices effectively.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Civil/Structural Engineer in offshore projects.
  • Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience in managing engineering projects and teams.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and environmental compliance in the oil and gas industry.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
