About the position

The Lead Cloud Architect at Kratos is responsible for designing and implementing cloud architectures across various platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. This role supports dynamic projects throughout the Software Development and System Engineering lifecycles, ensuring compliance with industry standards and security protocols. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience in cloud architecture to create platform-agnostic solutions while effectively communicating with team members and customers.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, design, and implement cloud architectures on various platforms.
• Support all phases of the Software Development/Software Test/System Engineering lifecycles.
• Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and subcontractors.
• Interface with customers and cross-functional teams for system integration and testing.
• Utilize Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) for data transfer across multiple environments.
• Maintain an ATO (Authorization to Operate) for cloud environments.
• Lead project teams and contribute to organizational goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
• 5-10 years of experience in cloud architecture on various platforms.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Alibaba.
• AWS Solution Architect Certification or CCSP certification.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementations.
• Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles.
• Experience with DevSecOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to articulate technical concepts both orally and in writing.
• Experience in obtaining and maintaining an ATO for cloud environments.
• In-depth understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, HTTP.
• Experience using programming languages like C++, Java, and Python.
