About the position

The Lead Cloud (Azure) Platform Engineer is responsible for providing guidance and leadership to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of software products. This role emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and agile development within the team, while overseeing the deployment and management of cloud infrastructure and applications. The position requires a strong understanding of DevOps practices and cloud computing, particularly with Azure, and involves working closely with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in software development and security compliance.

Responsibilities

• Providing guidance and leadership to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of software products.
• Developing and maintaining a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and agile development within the team.
• Working with developers to optimize the software development process, integrating automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment, and other DevOps best practices.
• Overseeing the deployment and management of infrastructure and applications in cloud environments using infrastructure-as-code.
• Implementing and maintaining monitoring and alerting solutions for production systems, ensuring high availability and rapid response to incidents.
• Managing and maintaining DevOps tools and processes, including source control, build and deployment automation, configuration management, and containerization.
• Working with security teams to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards, and implementing security best practices in the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, IT operations, or DevOps, including at least 2 years of experience managing a team.
• Strong understanding of DevOps concepts and practices, such as continuous integration and deployment, infrastructure-as-code, and containerization.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms, specifically Azure Cloud and associated services.
• Proficiency with programming and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and Ruby.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and processes, including source control, build and deployment automation, configuration management, and containerization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically about complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
