About the position

The Lead Cloud DevOps Engineer at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals will be responsible for managing and implementing solutions on the AWS platform to deliver highly scalable services. This role requires strong technical skills, effective communication, and collaboration with stakeholders and the DevOps team to build and implement cloud platform solutions. The position focuses on creating and managing containerized applications, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and automating deployment processes while ensuring system security and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage AWS platform and implement solutions from the ground up.
  • Create and manage containerized applications.
  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment on AWS Cloud.
  • Support core AWS services such as S3, EC2, ECS, EFS, IAM, Lambda, RDS, and Redshift.
  • Develop Python and Bash scripts for automating routine operations.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support and perform systems administration tasks.
  • Apply industry standards and best practices for system and application security.
  • Drive automation of operations and management of infrastructure as code.
  • Deploy and manage monitoring metrics and logging capabilities on RGCs systems and applications.
  • Containerize various applications and tools and implement container orchestration.
  • Develop SOPs and configure cloud services for high compute pipelines.
  • Install, configure, and maintain cloud services and applications on the cloud platform.
  • Provide end-user support, training, and documentation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of in-depth AWS services experience.
  • Experience managing CI/CD pipelines leveraging Git and AWS Code Pipeline.
  • Expertise in implementing containers and container orchestration using Docker, ECS, ECR, EKS, and Fargate.
  • Tangible experience with Linux administration, CI/CD, and automation using Python and Bash scripts.
  • Strong knowledge of core AWS services including EC2, EBS, S3, ELB, RDS, Lambda, and Cloud Formation.
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus.
  • AWS and other related certifications are a plus.
