About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Cloud Developer to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This position requires a strong background in cloud technologies, particularly with AWS services, and a proven track record in developing applications using modern programming languages and frameworks. The ideal candidate will have at least 9 years of hands-on experience in cloud development, with a focus on building scalable and efficient applications. You will be responsible for leading the development of cloud-based solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects in an Agile environment. As a Lead Cloud Developer, you will leverage your expertise in JavaScript, Node.js, and Angular to create dynamic and responsive front-end applications. Your solid understanding of AWS services, including EC2, S3, and Lambda, will be crucial in architecting solutions that meet our clients' needs. Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation will also be beneficial as you work to automate and streamline deployment processes. In this role, you will be expected to mentor junior developers, provide technical guidance, and contribute to the overall strategy for cloud development within the organization. Your strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively will be essential as you collaborate with various stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of cloud-based applications using AWS services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
  • Implement best practices for cloud architecture and development.
  • Utilize infrastructure as code (IaC) tools for deployment automation.
  • Ensure the scalability and performance of applications in the cloud.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 9+ years of hands-on experience working with AWS services.
  • Expert in developing using JavaScript, Node.js, and Angular for front-end development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an Agile environment.
  • Solid understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architecture.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) is a plus.
