About the position

The Lead Cloud Engineer will be responsible for driving cloud architecture and networking design for enterprise-level projects, focusing on AWS and Google Cloud Platform. This role involves developing and maintaining cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Architect highly scalable, available, and fault-tolerant systems to meet business requirements.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to cloud engineering teams.
  • Lead networking architecture design across cloud environments, including VPC design and hybrid cloud setups.
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and reliability.
  • Develop and implement automation strategies using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance and security requirements are met.
  • Monitor and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of cloud-based solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance to stakeholders and act as the subject matter expert for AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Conduct cloud migration assessments and execute application migration strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in cloud technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years in cloud architecture and engineering.
  • Proven expertise in AWS and Google Cloud Platform, with relevant certifications.
  • Strong experience in networking architecture, including VPCs and hybrid networking.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Expertise in cloud-native services and container orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, GKE).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Stackdriver).
  • Solid understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects effectively.
