The Lead Cloud Infrastructure Network Engineer will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing UKG's data network infrastructure. This includes a comprehensive range of responsibilities that encompass routers, switches, firewalls, network taps, tools, and load balancers, both physical and virtual, as well as public cloud networking. The successful candidate will be tasked with providing sound problem determination and resolution, documenting methodologies, and demonstrating thorough knowledge of data network management. This role requires executing hardware and software installations, performance tuning, and recovery processes to ensure optimal network functionality. In addition to troubleshooting and resolving network issues, the engineer will be responsible for improving, innovating, and creating enhancements to existing processes and policies. This includes procuring, tracking, and renewing SSL certificates issued by Trusted Certificate Authorities (CAs). The engineer will also maintain clear, consistent, and accurate documentation of network topologies and standards, ensuring compliance with ISO and other related standards and regulatory requirements. The position requires availability for on-call rotation and the ability to work on projects outside of normal working hours. Responsibilities also include working on project tasks related to provisioning, break-fix, enhancements, and new initiatives, as well as maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting all migrations and changes to the environments. The engineer will follow routine operational tasks such as device backups, code management, configuration compliance, reporting, and performance management while adhering to security policies. Coordination with product and business stakeholders to understand network requirements and plan implementations accordingly is also a key aspect of this role.
