Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Lead CNO Data Science Software Engineer to join our team in the Hanover, Maryland location. This position involves a variety of responsibilities including software development, data analytics, and system integration. You will be expected to demonstrate experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, and/or Groovy, and perform data analytics on logs, images, and other formats. A strong knowledge of databases and general troubleshooting in relational database engines like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SQL Server is essential. Additionally, familiarity with streaming technologies such as Kafka and the Elastic Stack (Elastic, Logstash, Beats, Kibana, Fluent, etc.) is required. As a Lead CNO Data Science Software Engineer, you will perform system and subsystem definition, preliminary and detailed design, design implementation, and subsystem and system integration and tests for a system. You will research requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria, and competitive issues. Your role will also involve designing new capabilities or recommending improvements to existing capabilities. You will need to demonstrate knowledge of multiple software development methodologies, including Scrum, TDD, and Waterfall. It is crucial to determine computer user needs, analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, and programming. You will ensure software standards are met, modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new requirements, or improve performance, and perform quality control on team products. Coordinating and performing software deployments for developed products will also be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will be expected to mentor junior software developers, sharing your expertise and guiding them in their professional development.
