About the position

The Lead Commissioning Engineer - Mechanical; Process at Kent Plc is responsible for overseeing mechanical commissioning activities for global projects. This role involves leading a team of mechanical engineers, ensuring the implementation of best practices, and acting as a technical authority on commissioning procedures. The position requires strong leadership skills, extensive experience in mechanical commissioning, and the ability to manage complex projects while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and coordination of commissioning activities for projects.
• Manage the development of commissioning online toolkit and advanced commissioning tools.
• Mentor commissioning leads and provide technical support on commissioning procedures.
• Oversee the development of systems completion plans and ensure thorough planning of commissioning activities.
• Act as a subject matter expert in mechanical commissioning and provide oversight on project execution.
• Conduct commissioning audits and report on safety, cost, schedule, and quality impacts.
• Stay updated with advances in commissioning fields and apply lessons learned to projects.

Requirements

• Mechanical or Process Engineering Degree and/or technical diploma.
• 15+ years of Project Completion, Operations, and Mechanical commissioning experience.
• In-depth knowledge of CSU Mechanical planning during FEED and detailed design phases.
• Established track record in creation and ownership of CSU budgets.
• Strong understanding of Project Planning, execution, Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Exposure to several oil company practices and expectations regarding Systems Completion and Commissioning operations.
• Fluency in additional languages.
