About the position

The Lead Compensation Analyst at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) is responsible for providing expert support in compensation and classification activities across the campus. This role involves job documentation, job evaluation, salary administration, and conducting special studies and projects. The analyst will also deliver compensation training to a diverse audience and act as a backup to the Division Director in their absence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional expertise in compensation/classification activities including job documentation and evaluation.
  • Administer salary structures and conduct market analysis.
  • Lead special studies and projects related to compensation.
  • Deliver training presentations on compensation topics to diverse audiences.
  • Serve as the campus organization management administrator.
  • Act as backup to the Division Director in their absence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in compensation administration, including job audits and market analysis.
  • Experience with HR enterprise software (e.g., SAP, PeopleSoft).
  • Supervisory experience and ability to deliver training presentations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree (MBA or equivalent).
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification.
  • Experience with Microsoft Access and SAP.
