About the position

As the Lead Compensation Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the administration of Dycom's compensation program. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor, analyze, and report on compensation data to assist Dycom leadership in making informed decisions regarding compensation philosophy and practices. This position requires you to manage complex, high-profile compensation-related projects, ensuring that the company's compensation strategies align with market trends and internal equity. In this role, you will assist with the administration of employee compensation programs, which include base pay, bonuses, and long-term incentive pay. You will work closely with various teams, including HRIS, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Finance, and Operations, to plan, administer, and execute all annual compensation cycle activities. You will serve as a resource for management, helping them make informed decisions about compensation. Your responsibilities will also include conducting market analysis and collaborating with Talent Acquisition and management to ensure that compensation offerings are competitive and equitable. You will manage and execute complex projects related to all facets of compensation, providing high-level customer service regarding inquiries and concerns from HR leads, management, and employees. Additionally, you will evaluate jobs to ensure they are appropriately classified within Dycom's job architecture and salary structure, review FLSA status, and assist in developing and maintaining job profiles. You will be responsible for providing reporting, analytics, and KPI tracking to ensure compliance with Dycom's compensation philosophy and to understand market and internal compensation trends. Regular audits will be performed to ensure data integrity, and you will participate in compensation surveys, compile data, complete analyses, and present findings. Furthermore, you will provide guidance and training to less experienced staff as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with administration of employee compensation programs including base pay, bonus and long-term incentive pay, working closely with the HRIS, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Finance and Operations teams
  • Plan, administer and execute all annual compensation cycle activities, including serving as a resource for management to assist with making informed decisions
  • Conduct market analysis and collaborate with Talent Acquisition and management to ensure compensation offerings are aligned with market and internal equity
  • Manage and execute on complex, high-profile projects related to all facets of compensation
  • Provide high level customer service regarding inquiries and concerns to HR leads, management and employees
  • Evaluate jobs to ensure they are slotted appropriately within Dycom's job architecture and salary structure
  • Review FLSA status to determine appropriate classifications
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of job profiles
  • Provide reporting, analytics, and KPI tracking to ensure compliance with Dycom's compensation philosophy and to understand market and internal compensation trends
  • Ensure data integrity by performing regular audits
  • Participate in compensation surveys, compile data, complete analysis, and present findings
  • Provide guidance and training, as necessary, to less experienced/tenured staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, related field or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years prior compensation experience
  • Superior data analytics and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and an expert understanding of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • Highly organized and able to manage time well to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
