About the position

As a member of our Global Compensation and Mobility team, the Lead Compensation Analyst will play a crucial role in evaluating and implementing compensation plans, policies, and procedures that align with business objectives and competitive practices. This position is responsible for leading compensation activities specifically for the US and Latin America Manufacturing sites, ensuring that pay compliance and fairness processes are upheld at a global level. The analyst will provide leadership, guidance, and support in the area of compensation strategy, pay compliance, and administration, making it essential to monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation policies and recommend necessary revisions or the development of new plans that are both cost-effective and consistent with current compensation trends and corporate objectives. In this role, the Lead Compensation Analyst will oversee the union and non-union hourly rates process, which includes conducting an annual market review of pay rates. Close collaboration with the HRMS team is vital to ensure that pay updates are implemented effectively and in a timely manner. The analyst will serve as a subject matter expert for Human Resources colleagues, management, and employees regarding Manufacturing compensation issues, responding to inquiries and requests in a professional and timely manner. Maintaining knowledge of compensation trends related to pay rates, short-term incentives, allowances, and site-specific pay is crucial for success in this position. Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for performing job evaluations and benchmark pricing requests using competitive market data specific to location and industry. Participation in the annual bonus cycle is also a key responsibility, which includes coordinating scorecards, conducting Leadership Team reviews, managing accruals, performing cost analysis, validating data, and calculating individual bonus outcomes. The analyst will communicate new compensation plans and changes to existing plans by preparing announcement materials, booklets, and other media for management and Human Resources colleagues. Compliance with global compensation laws and regulations is essential, and the analyst will support special projects as needed to ensure adherence to these standards.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines, and procedures for the Americas Manufacturing sites.
  • Recommend revisions to existing plans and develop new plans that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives.
  • Lead the union and non-union hourly rates process including annual market review of pay rates.
  • Partner closely with HRMS to ensure pay updates are effective in the system in a timely manner.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to Human Resources colleagues, management, and employees on Manufacturing compensation issues.
  • Respond to questions and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain knowledge of compensation trends pertaining to pay rates, short-term incentives, allowances, and other site-specific pay.
  • Own and manage site-specific compensation policies.
  • Perform job evaluation and benchmark pricing requests using location and industry-specific competitive market data.
  • Participate in the annual bonus cycle to include coordination of scorecards, Leadership Team reviews, accruals, cost analysis, data validation, and calculation of individual bonus outcomes.
  • Communicate new compensation plans and changes to existing plans by preparing announcement materials, booklets, and other media for management and Human Resources colleagues.
  • Maintain knowledge of global compensation laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Support special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Management, Finance or related field (required).
  • A minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in compensation (required).
  • CCP Certification (preferred).
  • Experience in Manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (required).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interface effectively with Human Resources colleagues and management.
  • Ability to work on multiple, diverse projects in a fast-paced environment.
