About the position

The Lead Consultant - Java Microservices at Infosys is responsible for interfacing with key stakeholders and demonstrating technical proficiency across various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle. This role involves requirements elicitation, application architecture definition, and design, as well as delivering high-quality code and leading validation for testing and support activities. The position emphasizes teamwork, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence within a diverse work environment.

Responsibilities

• Interface with key stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Create high-level design artifacts and deliver high-quality code for modules.
• Lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty.
• Document and communicate designs, estimates, and implementation plans to program stakeholders.
• Partner with business stakeholders and technology leaders to translate program requirements into technical solutions.
• Drive innovation in the healthcare domain and SaaS platform.
• Define and drive software architecture and enterprise capabilities such as scalability and fault tolerance.
• Design proof-of-concept pilots and work closely with technical leads for successful implementations.
• Provide leadership guidance to engineers, QA, and product stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 7 years of Information Technology experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Java full stack, Java Springboot, Microservices, Angular/React, jBPM or any other BPM product, RESTful, Kafka, and K8S.
• Experience in creating technological vision and driving technology strategy.
• Strong experience in working with engineering leaders on scalable and secure SaaS solutions.
• Knowledge of multiple niche/emerging technologies and languages.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Cloud Implementation - Azure, Kubernetes/Docker.
• Experience in developing & deploying Microservices, Data Modelling, Database Design, and Tuning Design Parameters.
• Experience with Service Oriented Architecture and understanding of OO concepts and design patterns.
• Experience in Middleware, Open-Source tools & technologies.
