About the position

The Lead Contract Manager for Custom Networks PMO at Lumen is responsible for overseeing the contractual terms of various Customer Agreements related to the Company's fiber-optic network across North America. This role involves understanding contractual terms, managing compliance, and providing data for reports and metrics for the PMO Department within Network Services.

Responsibilities

  • Uses several techniques to solve complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires a review and analysis of several factors.
  • Manages compliance of contracts with company policies and ways of working. Monitors contract performance and addresses any issues or discrepancies.
  • Provides guidance and training to internal teams on contract management best practices. Serves as point of contact for contract related questions and issues.
  • Identifies potential risks in contracts and develops strategies to mitigate them. Collaborates with legal and finance departments to address and resolve contract-related disputes.
  • Oversees and facilitates customer change initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years' experience, preferably in business, law, real estate, financial management or related field.
  • Or minimum of 10+ years of relevant job experience in contract management, right of way acquisition, or land administration, preferably in telecom, outside plant design, construction, or network planning.
  • Expert knowledge of the principles and practices of right of way acquisition & management, including legal, regulatory, and environmental aspects.
  • Very strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Must be able to create and present material to upper management.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and right of way software applications.
