About the position

The Lead Copywriter at Zones LLC is responsible for crafting compelling and engaging copy across various marketing channels while leading a team of copywriters. This role requires strong leadership skills, a proven track record in copywriting, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Lead Copywriter will ensure that all content aligns with the company's messaging, tone, and voice, contributing to the overall marketing strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of copywriters, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship.
• Conceptualize and develop creative and persuasive copy for marketing campaigns, advertisements, websites, emails, social media, and corporate collateral.
• Collaborate closely with designers, Integrated Marketing, Website team, and other teams to understand project requirements, target audience, and objectives.
• Edit and proofread copy to ensure clarity, grammar, consistency, and adherence to brand voice and tone.
• Understand and follow AP Style Guides for copy consistency and adherence.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in copywriting and digital marketing.
• Conduct research and interviews to understand customer needs and market trends.
• Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure timely delivery of content.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience as a Copywriter or similar role, with a strong portfolio of work.
• Experience in leading or managing a team of copywriters.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to adapt writing style to various tones, voices, and platforms.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in SEO principles and content optimization.
