About the position

The Lead, Copy is a pivotal role responsible for developing strategic messaging and creative concepts across various channels. This position requires a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and collaboration, ensuring that all outputs align with brand guidelines and business objectives. The Lead, Copy will work closely with multiple departments to produce high-quality work that enhances brand awareness and drives revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Elevate and explore copy, messaging and creative possibilities to ensure the brand maintains an evolving presence in the marketplace.
  • Concept and develop cohesive marketing campaigns assets and creative materials across digital and traditional advertising channels.
  • Create impactful messaging that is on-brand and drives the continuous evolution of the brand's tone.
  • Ensure consistent brand voice across all creative materials and channels through ongoing development and implementation of brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, external agencies, and global teams to ensure creative work aligns with business objectives and brand standards.
  • Develop strategic messaging for overarching campaigns while preserving brand voice.
  • Produce a full range of print and digital assets for divisions companywide.
  • Partner with fellow creatives to devise multiple conceptual options that meet business needs.
  • Confidently and effectively present creative work to key stakeholders, including internal management and executive leadership.
  • Ensure final materials are accurate, of the highest quality, and comply with governing laws.
  • Manage multiple project timelines in a fast-paced environment, maintaining clear communication and adherence to deadlines.
  • Motivate fellow creative team members to find creative solutions within the constraints of time, budget, and project volume.
  • Provide daily feedback and forward-looking direction to support fellow creatives and more junior team members as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to drive efficiencies, reduce costs, and improve return on investment.
  • Adapt to additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, English or related field experience.
  • Excellent copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills with a deep knowledge of English grammar and punctuation.
  • Portfolio of impressive real-world work samples showcasing versatility and mastery of brand tone across various media.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and clear communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of brand development and the creative process.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate on projects from concept to completion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with both Mac and Windows environments.
