About the position

The Lead Copywriter will oversee a team of writers and editors to create and manage marketing content for City National Bank. This role involves developing messaging for various marketing channels, maintaining the Writing Style Guide, and ensuring brand consistency across all communications. The Lead Copywriter will also mentor junior writers and collaborate with marketing teams to deliver high-quality, strategic copy that aligns with the bank's goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage a copy team to develop and execute messaging for marketing materials.
• Supervise the creation of high-quality copy for various marketing channels including digital, print, and social media.
• Maintain and update the City National Writing Style Guide and oversee voice and tone guidelines.
• Conduct messaging architecture sessions to determine effective messaging for products and campaigns.
• Edit, proofread, and provide feedback on project deliverables to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Collaborate with marketing team members to ensure brand standards are met and innovative solutions are delivered on time.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in content marketing, direct response, digital, and lead generation writing.
• Minimum 7 years of writing experience in a marketing or agency environment.
