About the position

The Lead Copywriter will oversee a team of writers and editors to create and manage marketing content for City National Bank. This role involves developing messaging for various marketing channels, maintaining the Writing Style Guide, and ensuring brand consistency across all communications. The Lead Copywriter will also mentor junior writers and collaborate with marketing teams to deliver high-quality, strategic copy that aligns with the bank's goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage a copy team of writers and editors to develop marketing materials.
• Supervise the creation of messaging for sales collateral, website content, advertising, and social media.
• Maintain and update the City National Writing Style Guide and voice guidelines.
• Conduct messaging architecture sessions to determine effective messaging for products and campaigns.
• Edit, proofread, and provide feedback on project deliverables to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to align copy with brand standards and project goals.
• Train and mentor junior writers and manage external writers and editors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in content marketing, direct response, and digital writing.
• Minimum 7 years of writing experience in a marketing or agency environment.
