About the position

The Lead Copywriter will oversee a team of writers and editors to create and manage marketing content for City National Bank. This role involves developing strategic messaging across various channels, ensuring brand consistency, and maintaining the bank's Writing Style Guide. The Lead Copywriter will also mentor junior writers and collaborate with marketing teams to deliver high-quality copy that aligns with business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a copy team of writers and editors to develop marketing materials.
  • Supervise the creation of sales collateral, website content, advertising, and social media posts.
  • Maintain and update the City National Writing Style Guide and voice guidelines.
  • Conduct messaging architecture sessions to determine effective messaging for products and campaigns.
  • Edit, proofread, and provide feedback on project deliverables.
  • Collaborate with marketing team members to ensure brand standards are met.
  • Present copy concepts to clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in content marketing, direct response, and digital writing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in B2B and B2C marketing communications.
  • Familiarity with financial services marketing.
  • Strong presentation skills.
