About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Corporate Security Agent in Albuquerque, NM, who will play a pivotal role in addressing complex security issues that have a broad impact across the organization. This position requires a strategic leader who can effectively engage with various levels of professionals and managers, serving as an expert advisor to leadership on security matters. The Lead Corporate Security Agent will be responsible for leading initiatives aimed at preventing or mitigating criminal acts that could affect company assets, individuals, or customers. This includes making critical decisions in complex security situations, which necessitates a thorough understanding of security functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. In this role, the agent will assist Corporate Security leadership in ensuring compliance with the overall Corporate Security program, managing fiscal responsibilities, and strategically planning business-critical security initiatives that may have moderate financial or legal implications. The agent will also be tasked with reviewing and analyzing a variety of security issues, customer interactions, and fiscal management, requiring an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented circumstances. The Lead Corporate Security Agent will lead Security Risk and Threat Mitigation efforts in collaboration with other business lines, conduct frequent safety and security training, and perform site assessments at retail locations. This role involves strategic collaboration with peers, colleagues, and senior managers to address security incidents, resolve issues, and achieve organizational goals. The agent will also develop and maintain effective relationships with law enforcement, business partners, and security vendors, serving as the primary contact for Corporate Security with moderate exposure to internal business partner management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead highly complex security issues with broad impact and act as an onsite key contributor in large-scale planning related to preventing or mitigating criminal acts.
  • Make decisions involving complex security situations requiring a solid understanding of security functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Engage strategically with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise, serving as an expert advisor to leadership.
  • Assist Corporate Security leadership in achieving overall program compliance, fiscal management, and strategic planning with business-critical security initiatives.
  • Review and analyze a complex variety of security issues, customer interactions, and fiscal management that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
  • Lead Security Risk and Threat Mitigation efforts in collaboration with other business lines.
  • Conduct frequent safety and security trainings and site assessments at all retail locations, both proactively and reactively.
  • Conduct site-based security assessments and assist on-site with special events.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to address security incidents and resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with law enforcement, business partners, and security vendors.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Corporate Security experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Valid government driver's license, working personal automobile, and current automobile insurance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with and building relationships with federal, state, and local law enforcement.
  • Experience in conducting comprehensive investigations.
