About the position

As Lead Counsel on the Legal Investigations Team at Walmart, you will direct significant internal investigations globally, focusing on uncovering wrongdoing and identifying control or policy gaps. This role emphasizes conducting thorough, objective, and independent investigations, fostering trust and accountability within the organization, and supporting Walmart's reputation as a responsible corporate citizen.

Responsibilities

• Direct legally privileged investigations into significant allegations of wrongdoing globally.
• Collaborate with clients to develop mitigation strategies.
• Provide legal advice and counsel clients on legal compliance and business initiatives.
• Lead high-level cross-functional special projects.
• Identify global trends and significant financial integrity matters for senior leadership updates.
• Work with stakeholders on updates or revisions to company policies and procedures.
• Manage budgets and drive cost control.

Requirements

• Law degree from an accredited law school.
• 6 years' experience in law.
• License to practice law in at least one state.
• 2 years' experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Significant experience leading investigations as a prosecuting attorney or representative of a government entity.
• Proven track record of leading internal investigations in an in-house capacity or with a law firm.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams.
• Global experience.
